On a Personal Note
A couple weekends ago was my best friend's 30th birthday party. He is 3 months older than I, so I definitely played up the old man jokes the whole weekend. In an attempt to use the party as a venue to prove we 'still got it' despite our age, we decided to do an olympic themed birthday party. We had a mini triathlon of swimming, running, and biking set up within the little neighborhood, followed by a few less active games like corn hole (bean bags), football toss, and even badminton.
While we all had the best of intentions to prove turning 30 doesn't mean the beginning of the end, it was the 1st event of the triathlon that brought us all back down to earth. The first guy out of the pool face planted and had to go to the ER. I think it is safe to say that we all 'lost it' a long time ago!
